And starting another series…
In true Jerryfish fashion, I have become the master of starting new projects. One of these days, I promise to actually finish projects within an acceptable time frame. I’m diving into the sea of figurative imagery and this newest series (ha!) of drawings is paying homage to the matrilineal system of the Palauan culture.
Looking through books I inherited from my grandparents and family photographs, I’m drawing portraits of pacific island woman who exhibit strong traits I recognize in my mother. I hope to have these portraits continue for sometime.
