BIKE: MKE 2013 Portfolio and some other studio stuff…

Finding a New Ride, 2013, etching on Rives BFK White. 16.5in X 10in.
The etching above is my first attempt at using a ferric bath. This was made for a portfolio exchange themed around “Bicycles and Community.” The idea is to bridge a common sense of community a group of cyclists form with that of the printmaking world. Both have a similar energy that is sparked and energized by the interaction and interests of it’s respective people.
I’m starting to edition this baby this week.
The following I started during my residency with Backspace Collective, in Peoria, Illinois. In a hasty move to The Music City, I had lost track of it. You may remember seeing pictures of this from the initial beginnings.

Update..slowly making progress
Because of the productivity and the fact I’ve recently recovered this piece, I’ve worked on it for the past two nights… Progress shots commence!
