David Phillips was a self-taught artist who would send drawings to his family along with his letters. The works in this gallery were received between 1991 and 1996. David was known to have a natural gift for rendering what he could imagine and demonstrated precise hand and eye coordination. He primarily work with graphite and color pencils – incorporating pen and marker here and there.
To my knowledge, these drawings are all that remain of his work. This gallery perserves his work and helps me remember him.
